Nao Yoshioka will kick off her US East coast tour on September 23rd. Venues will include World Cafe Live at The Queen, Wilmington, DE, Blue Note, New York, The Birchmere Music Hall, Alexandria, VA, and Magoobys Joke House, Baltimore MD. The tour comes on the heels of her debut album, “The Light”, release on July 17th in the US and Canada by Purpose Music Group and NIA Distribution.

World Cafe Live at The Queen, Wilmington
At World Cafe Live, a three-tiered music hall, the event will also see guest singer Tara Hendricks take the stage. A Philadelphia native with a powerhouse voice, contagious energy and charismatic songs, Tara has been called “Philly’s next signature voice”.

Nao’s solo performance at the Blue Note in New York will be a late night affair following performances by José James earlier that evening. Two years ago as she walked past the Blue Note, she promised herself that some day she would perform at this storied venue. This performance will see a dream come true for Nao and will certainly have an impact on her young career.

At The Birchmere Music Hall, a venue which has a legendary reputation in music circles, Nao will also be fulfilling a dream as she opens for José James before he takes to the stage to play music from his latest album, “Yesterday I Had The Blues: The Music of Billie Holiday”, a tribute to the legendary singer in honor of Holiday’s 100th birthday. This too promises to be a very special evening for Nao and the tour.

Magoobys Joke House, Baltimore
Last stop on the tour will be Magoobys Joke House in Baltimore for a charity event sponsored by The Women’s Challenge, a non-profit organization supporting women – mind, body, and spirit. This show will be hosted by DC songbird Deborah Bond, and will also feature special guest performances by Deborah and Marc Evans, a native Baltimorean who has worked with, and shared the stage with both major and independent label artists such as Vinx, John Stoddart, Kirk Whalum, and Fertile Ground.
