Live Event: August 13, 2013 – Rockwood Music Hall, 196 Allen Street, New York
The final stop on Nao Yoshioka’s US tour will be at the world famous Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 1) in New York City.

The “Make the Change Project” kicked on Saturday August 3rd, with a solo performance by Nao Yoshioka at Shibuya’s LOOP ANNEX, and is currently on the second leg with the “Soul Exchange Tour” in the United States.

The “Soul Exchange Tour” will see Nao touring with the talented Brian Owens of St. Louis, Missouri, also known as “the new voice of American soul.” On this leg of the project, Nao and Brian will perform at three venues in three cities, World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilmington, World Cafe Live Philadelphia, and the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis.

The final show at the Sheldon Concert Hall is billed as the Marvin Gaye Tribute Show with Brian Owens taking the lead, and singing duets with Nao Yoshioka and the talented Theresa Payne.

The Soul Exchange Tour

The next leg of the US tour will see Nao performing 2 nights in New York City at the legendary Cafe Wha?, then on to her final event at the world famous Rockwood Music Hall.

Café Wha?, cornered in the heart of Greenwich Village, was the original stomping ground for prodigies Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix. Bruce Springsteen, Paul & Mary, Kool and the Gang, as well as comedians, Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby, with the Rockwood Music Hall being described as the best place for live local music in New York City with impeccable taste when it comes to finding new talent.

These two events will see Nao teaming up with the talented New York-based Australian singer-songwriter ORLY, who whose album “Distraction” was recently released in Japan with SWEET SOUL RECORDS. If you are in the New York area, you would not want to miss this live event featuring two very talented soul music singers, and founding members of the “Make the Change Project.”
